Naoyuki Ono President, Chief Executive Officer, and Treasurer Inder Kaul, MD, MPH President of Product Development and Chief Medical Officer Kazuhisa Tsuruta, Ph.D. Senior Vice-President Chief Scientific Officer Management Asahi Kasei Pharma America (AKP America) has assembled a core group of senior managers focused on the clinical development of drugs in the field of critical care therapeutics throughout the world. Naoyuki Ono President, Chief Executive Officer, and Treasurer Mr. Ono joined Asahi Kasei Corporation, one of the major chemical companies in Japan, in April 1981. He was responsible for HR and Business Strategy and Planning in Asahi Kasei. Since 1992, he joined Asahi’s health care business unit, Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation. From 1999 to 2004 he was the Managing Director of both Asahi Vet, S.A. and Asahi Pharma Spain, S.L., subsidiaries of Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation located in Barcelona, Spain. He previously served as General Manager for Business strategy & Planning and was responsible for the budget management for Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation. Since April 2010, he also joined Asahi Kasei America, Inc. and served as Vice President of Pharma Division at Boston office (Woburn, MA). At the same time, he also started to serve on Artisan’s (now Asahi Kasei Pharma America) Board of Directors. He also serves on the board of Alteos, Inc. (observer), a venture-backed biopharmaceutical company based in San Francisco. Mr. Ono holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University in Japan.
