(NLV is a byproduct of the recent spin-off of the health care team from The Sprout Group.) A founding investor in five companies, he has led multiple later-stage investments and one buy-out, and is an active investor in all three sectors of interest for NLV. Prior to NLV, Dr. Chambon was a General Partner at Sprout, which he joined in 1995, and a Manager in the health care practice of the Boston Consulting Group. Earlier in his career, he was an executive with Sandoz Pharmaceutical, where he built and led an organization responsible for late-stage clinical project management, portfolio management and pre-marketing activities. Dr. Chambon serves on the boards of directors of Artisan, Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Aureon Biosciences, BioRelix, ePocrates, NxStage Medical and VaxInnate. His prior investments include Cephalon, Focus Technologies, Sapient Health Network (WebMD), Charles River Laboratories and Combichem. In addition to conducting graduate research in molecular immunology at The Pasteur Institute, Dr. Chambon earned his MD and PhD from the University of Paris and his MBA from Columbia University.
